pipemeter software package provides cli utility that shows the speed of data moving from input to output, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pipemeter
pipemeter is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pipemeter package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pipemeter *
You will get with pipemeter package name, version, architecture and description in a table
